Anime Festival Asia 2013

First time attending the Anime Festival Asia in Suntec, Singapore. Tickets for the 3 day event from 11-13 November 2013 is $10 (one day entry) just for the Exhibition Access.

As usual, the place was filled with Otakus, which means anime lovers in Japanese (info gotten from Bella - she is also an anime lover FYI).

It is very obvious that these people put in effort to dress up exactly like their favorite anime characters. Thumbs up to them. 👍👍👍. Another thing I found interesting is that they have the AFA Cafe - served by maids and butlers! Too bad we didn't manage to dine in there cause the queue was soooo long! Both Bella and Belle wanted to see Yutakis in person and luckily they manage to at the end! 💃💃💃💃

This year Belle bought the Naruto headband for $10 and Kunai for $5. Bella didn't find anything interesting to indulge in I think. Here are some of the pics that we took in the convention.

Oh ya btw, I honestly don't know the character names. I just take those thati find cool. 😜

Cool pics right?  Have a good day all!

Dom's 1st Birthday

The title says it all....it's Dom's 1st Birthday!

Can't believe how fast time flies. It was not too long ago that Dom came into our family, making our life complete. We love his smiles, laugh, cries, whines and every little thing he does. He always makes our day better. We are always there to capture his moments...mostly his firsts! Wouldn't miss it for the world! And now....my little baby is 1. Then comes the terrible 2s. Let me take all this slowly. I need to enjoy his babyhood day by day.

Back to his birthday party...the best thing is we celebrated in Penang...in our house! But then I have to admit that...nothing tops all those who came that night even though it was raining cats and dogs the whole night. They are the best!!!

We took a road trip back this time. We drove from Singapore to KL. Then stop for 2 days before we head back to Penang. Then that's when all the cleaning and cleaning and cleaning starts. Despite all that, we still have a lot of fun. We always have fun, as long as 5 of us are together, no matter where we are in the world.

We chose Pocoyo them for Dom's big day. Simply because it's his favourite cartoon since he was like few months old. We engaged a party planner, photographer and also caterer for the day. Everything turns out very well. The weather, well, it actually gets everyone closer together. Literally! Imagine my humble little house packed with about 50-60 people. I love all these gatherings of family and friends!

Well, like I always said....a picture paints a thousand words.

The Pocoyo theme.

"Dominic" jelly cake also from Uncle Steven.

Here are some of the pictures of friends and relatives that came. A million hugs and thanks to them for making the night a memorable one. (only picked a few pictures to post cause there are waaaaaay too many to upload everything.)

Then comes the cake cutting ceremony....we had all the kids lined up. Everyone gathers around to sing birthday song for Dom. He loves the attention he's getting.

Little rabbit!

Little reindeer!

Presents time!

After a tiring night...Dom decides to drink his own Pocoyo brand mineral water.  :)

Hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as we enjoyed the party.

A moustache-experience in Penang

Moustache Houze. Have any of you heard of it? Recently open in Penang along Campbell Street. Seen the pictures of the place from FB friends.

So for this trip back to Penang, I make it a must-go place and we are here! (Am  mobile blogging here sipping my cuppa). It's a very nice and cozy place to hang out with family and friends.

We ordered expresso ice cube, chocolate ice cube, ice chocolate, crunchy chocolate crepe cake and paradise chocolate cake. Dom love it here too coz we are lucky to get a back corner seat where he is free to roam around.

Would definitely come back for more! Here are some pics that we took in the Houze!

Halloween!!

I know it's a little bit early to celebrate Halloween but we are just following the dates set by CIS (Canadian Int. School).

This is me and Dom's first year attending cause last year I was in confinement period. (Time flies don't they?) Bella & Belle & daddy, it's their second time there. We volunteered for the car decoration for the trick or treats event. We bought some eerie but mostly pumpkins deco. Lol.

It was just a 2 hour event but it's interesting and fun! Everyone had their share of fun. I'm happy cause my kids are all happy and enjoying themselves.

Here are some of the pics.

Happy Halloween everyone!
