Introducing baby Dominic!

It's been 8 weeks since my new man entered my life. He changed my life completely. My daily routine now revolves around him only.
His name is Dominic but of course I call him my darling boy. Both Bella & Belle are charmed by his cuteness. Especially Bella, she is obsessed with him. His little dimples and smile melts our hearts.
Let me show you why. Here's our little man!

My time alone.

There are times when we all will need a time for ourselves. Be it to sleep, watch television, surf internet or even just for day dreaming.

I always enjoy my time alone outside of my house, mostly in places like starbucks or coffee bean or any place that I can enjoy a cup of coffee without any disturbance. Just like now, I am now enjoying my cafe latte in starbucks while waiting for Bella to finish her piano class. The only one that's disturbing me now is my son, who is still kicking and stretching away in my tummy, refusing to leave his comfort zone. Hehehe.

I know I'm not suppose to rush him. I know I should let him take his own sweet time. I know. It's just that my lil big boy is cramped up inside already. Even  during the ultrasound scan, his face is partially squashed up and we can't get a good 4D picture of him. I kesian him la.

I think in just a week or two, I will be definitely losing my total freedom to enjoy my time alone outside, like right now. I will be the mother cow and tagging along with me will be my baby cow. If you read my previous post on breastfeeding, then you'll know how long my baby cow will tag along.

Sometimes it's scary how fast time flies. I remember in Chinese New Year this year, which is in January, I am still not pregnant and the freedom to do and plan so many things ahead of me. But now, all my plans to travel here and there, will have to put on hold till.....I don't know when. But then it's gonna be all worth it in the end.

Okay...I'm just blabbing away right now simply because I'm infused with caffeine. Hehehehe. I'm good. I'm happy. Still pregnant and happy about it.

Have a good night peeps.

Breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding. Tried and didn't work out with both my girls. That was 10 and 12 years ago. Probably was too young and not encouraged by many back then.

Well, I can tell you, this time around, I am very adamant to breastfeed my son. This time around I have my hubby and both my girls Bella & Belle to encourage me all the way. Lucky me and lucky boy! So far, I have read up as much as I can about breastfeeding. What to expect and what to do and who to contact or reach out to if I'm facing any difficulty. I want to breastfeed for a minimum of 1 year that's for sure. And with all the hands-free electronic breast pump, I am sure i can do it! Hehehehe.

My breastfeeding goals :

1. Breastfeed exclusively for 6 months
2. Breastfeed up to 1 year and beyond
3. Latch on demand as much as I could
4. Ignore negative comments
5. Breastfeed even though I am sick &
6. Persist & Persevere!!!

But of course, my main concern is just like any mother, will my breast milk be enough. We will soon see! I would be very happy for any suggestions or ideas that could increase my milk supply. I am now 37 weeks and waiting to pop anytime soon.

Here a picture of us....waiting eagerly for baby Dominic.

Hubby, Me, Belle & Bella.

Have a nice day everyone!

Counting the days.

Well I am officially 33 weeks as of today. That makes it...in less than 5 weeks time I am gonna meet my little man. (That's of course if my doctor agrees to the date that we had chosen) My new found love of my life). :)

We are all ready to meet him...well for me that's for sure, but then it looks like for both Bella & Belle, it still hasn't sink in to them yet. Yes, all this while they have the idea that their little brother is on the way, but then it won't be real to them till he actually comes. (Same goes to the father eventhough he is happily shopping for his new sidekick)

We have almost everything now...the only thing that is missing right now is the pram and car seat and towels. Which we plan to buy ASAP.

I plan to fully breastfeed him of course (but to be on the kiasu side, I bought a small can of formula just in case). Let's hope that everything goes smoothly from now on. In the last check up at 32 weeks, doctor says that my boy is already 1.8kg and he's got long legs.

Will definitely update everyone once my lil bundle of joy arrives! Till then...

Updates...

Well....it's been sometime since any of us last blogged. The last post was me announcing our lil boy. He's growing well inside mummy's belly. He's a real kicker lately and enjoys kicking at ny bladder. Wonder if he thinks it's a trampoline. Hehe.

Niways the last scan we couldn't get his face on the 4d scan just because he refuse to face us and keep his back to us all the time. Both Bella and Belle thinks that their baby brother is just shy. LoL. What do you guys think? Is shy the word to describe my lil boy?

These few months we've been to Sabah for a relative's wedding, to KL for a friend's wedding and also back to Penang during school break. Nothing much but just a lil bit worn out from the travelling...especially when my lil darling boy is busy exercising inside most if the time.

I guess that about all that's been going on in our lives for the past few months. I really hope the time really fly by fast cause we cant wait to see our darling boy!!!

Below are some of the pictures that I took.

To the Land Below The Wind!!

For our lil darling boy. Cute eh?

KL Trip detour to Malacca. Chicken rice ball. Yums!

Our sweet indulgence at Haagen Daaz. Chocolate fondue.  ;P

Singapore Flyer. We finally made it up there after so long.

Hope everyone's day is filled with joy and happiness and rainbows and sweetness!

After a long break...

Well, after the post on Chinese New Year there was a long break till now. Simply because our family is expanding! Yes, I am expecting. I'm now in my 2nd semester. Both Bella & Belle are so excited and they insists that have to be there with me for every single doctor's appointment.

My first trimester was very smooth. No morning sickness just nausea. Couldn't take the smell of meat. I went vegetarian for the whole first trimester. Lol. Now I am a lot better.

This time around, everything feels so different. I am extremely tired most of the time so my bed is my closest companion. But most of all is that this time around I can share experience with my both girls. They are old enough to understand and share my happiness. Its like everything is so perfect and we are just waiting for little munchkin to arrive to make our world even more perfect.

There are no words to contain and express how happy I am right now. .
I will definitely upload the pic of little munchkin soon!

Oh ya before I forget...happy mother's day to all!

Chinese New Year 2012

Its the time if the year again...where the married ones have to give ang pao to the those singles.

The most precious time during this festive season is not in collecting money...it's the joy in family reunion. This is one of those times where we can see all the family members coming back from wherever they are around the world and reunite and of course enjoying the food served during CNY as well.

Let me show you all some of the dishes that we enjoy...and of course family photos.

We wish everyone a healthy & prosperous new year ahead!

My simple birthday

This year my birthday falls on the eve's eve of Chinese New Year. We manage to get our flight just one day before ny brithday so we can celebrate together in Penang.

We just went out for lunch at Sushi King Queensbay Mall.

Enjoying our lunch since we can't find Sushi King in Singapore.

Walk around. I wanted ti watch Underworld : The Awakening but then its 18PL. So that's when we decided to go to Redbox to sing our hearts out.

4 of us, we only paid for 2. Buffet dinner included...so worth it. Belle is below 1.4m, so she get to sing and eat for free. Bella... born in the year of dragon... also get to sing and eat for free. Only the 2 old snakes, above 1.4m have to pay for the full price to sing and eat.

The unknown singers in the Cheah family.

The food wasn't that fantastic but at least there are varieties of food. We sang, screamed our lungs out for a few hours before meeting up with my friends at Presint 10 (hope i spelled it correctly). Its a new place in Penang so we decided to go and have a look around.

Well....that's about it on how my day was spent. No presents for me this year...just food...Lol (typical Chinese always like that wan...any occasion also eat only).

Hmmm....maybe I should just go get myself something then claim. Hehehehe.

All ready for Chinese New Year!

It's just a few days away from Chinese New Year.  Hubby is in Penang cleaning our house while me and my girls, Bella & Belle is still in Singapore. We will only be going back to Penang on the 20th January 2012. A day before my birthday. We are all so excited.

There are so many things that I like when it's CNY. Firstly, its the FOOD of course. Then, the GAMBLING, followed by the gathering of family members from all over, the gossips, the ang pao's (of coz I will not be the one on the receiving end) and the fire crackers! I have always loved family gatherings. Makes me happy.

This year we did all our CNY shopping in Singapore. First year here and so far it's all good. Bella is in her new school and is adapting well. She joined Brownies in school. She wanna join her school trip to Taman Negara in KL on March holidays. She enjoys her piano classes.

Sheri have to take her S-AEIS exam in Feb 2012. She's currently in Hanbridge school. She love going for her vocal classes. Hope she passes her exam in Feb then it would be a lot easier for me, as their designated driver for now.

For this post there won't be any pictures. My camera is not working as well as before so I'm actually looking forward in getting a new one. I have my eyes on Sony NEX C5. My options are still open....still looking for the best deal. So if any of you have any suggestions please....please tell me.

Niways....Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
Here's an Ang Pow for everyone. Wishing you a happy and prosperous new year!

Family fun time!

We all love family outings. Be it just a dinner together or just a weekend of fun as the whole family.

Tonite we decided to go to Resort World Singapore for dinner. Chinese gourmet food. Like I always said, a picture says a thousand words. So, behold...

After dinner, the waiter told us that there will be a performance. Its free. So why not. Its called the crane dance. Everyone was enjoying the show till at one point when the wind was so strong...we were all soaking wet from the water. I call it blessing from the crane for this new year.

Then right after that, the security guard told us there's another show in the lake of dreams. Another free show for the night, our lucky day or what. Of course we wont miss out. Not that interesting tho but it's ok since its free.

We all had a good time. We ate, we laughed, we get soaked up and we are happy. That's all that matters.

So goodnite all. Sweet dreams.

New Year Eve @Marina Bay Sands

On the day itself...we were all worried that Dallon Cheah won't be able to make it back in time coz he went over to JB. Luckily he did.

We then head off to Marina Bay Sands at around 5:30pm. We stacked biscuits and chips ans chocolates in the car...all prepared to battle the new year eve's jam. As we head out...the traffic was clear. We reached MBS and found a parking space, all in less than 30 mins. (Makes me feel so kiasu all of a sudden)

Since we are early, we decided to walk around and kill some time. We decided to Kraze Burger for dinner.

Then after dinner, we went to the Narnia exhibition. Which makes us all wanna watch the movie all over again. Hehehe saja.

About 9:30pm, we quickly went out to the deck where the fireworks will take place. My gosh...the place is packed. The seating area is closed by the time we got there. But then luckily, Dallon managed to get us in. So we sat there playing monopoly deal and game of life for 2 hours.

The fireworks was amazing. It was worth the wait. This is the first time we celebrated New Year's eve in MBS. Both Bella and Belle were so tired that they fell asleep when our car was still in the car park (jam for almost 30 mins before can get out).

Happy New Year to all. May this year brings you good health, abundance of wealth and happiness!!!
